The UN is “extremely concerned and concerned about the drone attack on Azerbaijani territory.” This was stated by United Nations spokesman Stephane Dujarric, answering a journalist’s question during a daily briefing.
He called the attack “another example of the conflict expanding” and involving another country. “This is an obvious violation of Azerbaijan’s sovereignty,” the UN official emphasized. “We would not like to see further escalation and we want to see respect for international law.”
According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Iranian drones carried out strikes on the Azerbaijani city of Nakhichevan on Thursday. The Nakhichevan airport building was damaged.
